  • Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
  • Check this box if you are using Secure SSL/TLS settings. Uncheck this box if you are using Non-SSL settings.
  • Label incoming messages.
  • Check this box if you have more than one account set up in Gmail. Doing this makes it easy to track emails.
  • Archive incoming messages.
  • Leave this box unchecked if you don’t want all emails from your domain email account to be auto-archived.

12. Confirm that all your settings are correct and then, click “Add Account”.

13. Once your Org email account is imported, you will be required to provide an option to send mail to this address. Then, click “Yes” this will let you write email messages in Gmail but send them as the Org email account.

14. Type in your name and click “Next Step”.

15. Type in your SMTP Server information.

If you’re using the Secure SSL/TLS settings, select “Port 465: from the Port drop-down. If you’re using Non-SSL settings, select “Port 25” from the Port drop-down. 

Note: Do not check the box to use your Org email as an alias. Doing so will send all your emails using your Gmail address.

16. Enter your email address as your username and then your.Org email account password. 

17. Check the Secured connection using the SSL option if you are using the Secure SSL/TLS settings.

18. Then, click “Add Account”.

19. Type in the confirmation code you may have received in your Org email account and then click “Verify”.

How to Recover an Account Password

The various websites have different ways to confirm your identity and recover (or reset) your password. Starting the password recovery process is pretty easy: To start the process, just click the “forgot password”

If it is a credit card account, enter your card number or the email address you use to log into your account. If this is the number or the email linked to your account, you will receive a verification link to reset your password.

For others, the email address may the one you used when you first signed up for the account. In some cases, you will be asked to enter the last password you can remember, and type in the last password you remember using with your account. Some websites do this just in case you haven’t actually forgotten your password.

  1. Select Request Verification Code.
  2. Check your email for the code. Be sure to check your junk or spam folder.
  3. This code expires after 30 minutes. If your code expired, you can request a new one.
  4. Enter the code and create a new password that you haven’t used before.
  5. Select Submit.
  6. Login in using your new password.

Note: When creating a new password, you can’t use either of your last two passwords.

How to Secure Your Accounts with Two-step Verification

Two-Factor Authentication also known as (2FA) is an option that provides an extra layer of security to your online account in addition to your password. When Two-Factor Authentication is enabled, your account cannot be accessed by anyone unauthorized by you, even if they have stolen your sign ID.

When you enable 2FA, the provider of your account will require a special code in addition to your regular password when signing into the account. This code can be sent to you via SMS or by using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator.

How to Enable Two-step Verification

The settings for enabling 2FA can be found in the security settings of all accounts.

  1. Go to your Website and sign in if you’re not already signed into your account.
  2. Open the Settings & privacy
  3. Click on the Security option.
  4. Toggle Two-factor authentication. Some platforms will require you to log in again, in such a case enter your password and sign in.
  5. Select a security method with which to receive the authentication code. If you want to receive your verification code by text message, select Use Text Message (SMS). If you have an authentication app like Google Authenticator or Duo Mobile, you can choose Use Authentication App.
  6. Verify your security method, If you selected SMS, you have to add your phone number and click Continue to receive a 6-digit authentication code via text message. When you get the text, enter the authentication code into the blanks space,
  7. Click Continue, and then click Done to confirm.
  8. Then use the camera to scan the QR code that appears on the page. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Now that you have enabled 2FA, you’ll need to have your phone and/or authenticator app handy when signing in to your account. This is because there will now be an option to enter the 2FA code each time you want to access the account. So, you should open your authenticator app or the text message from the website to find the code, and then enter it into its blank space.

How to Recover Two-step Verification Account

The 2FA recovery codes are one-time-use codes you can use to replace two-step authentication if you lost or don’t have your phone. To set it up Click the downward-pointing arrow at the top-right corner of Facebook.

  1. Go to Settings & Privacy.
  2. Click Security and tap Use two-factor authentication.
  3. Click Setup next to “Recovery Codes.”
  4. Click Get Codes and write the codes down exactly as you see them. keep them safe where you can find them when you don’t have access to your phone.
